Oakland County boasts an impressive history of women who have excelled in business, education, the arts, philanthropy and more.

Martha Baldwin, an educator and community leader, left an indelible mark on Birmingham through her lifelong service and leadership. Mary Barra, who grew up in Waterford Township, became the first female CEO and chair of General Motors. Madonna was raised in Rochester Hills.
