Doors open at 6:30 PM and the event begins at 7:15 PM. The theatrical reading will be followed by Janz and Malerman talking about what it’s like playing in someone else’s sandbox. The show is amazing. The music is amazing.

Josh Malerman
is a New York Times bestselling author and one of two singer-songwriters for the rock band The High Strung. His debut novel, Bird Box, is the inspiration for the hit Netflix film of the same name. Before publishing his debut novel Bird Box with ECCO/HarperCollins, he wrote fourteen novels, never having shopped one of them.

His novels include Bird Box, Daphne, Pearl, Goblin, House at the Bottom of the Lake, Black Mad Wheel, Unbury Carol, Inspection, Spin a Black Yarn, Malorie, the sequel to Bird Box and the bestselling Incidents Around the House now in paperback and currently in film production. Malerman lives in Michigan with his fiancée, the artist-musician Allison Laakko.


Jonathan Janz is the author of more than a dozen novels and numerous short stories. His work has been championed by authors like Joe R. Lansdale, Jack Ketchum, and Brian Keene; he has also been lauded by Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, and School Library Journal.

His ghost story The Siren and the Specter was selected as a Goodreads Choice nominee for Best Horror. Additionally, his novel Children of the Dark was chosen by Booklist as a Top Ten Horror Book of the Year. Jonathan’s main interests are his wonderful wife and his three amazing children.
