The Detroit Festival of Books (Bookfest) is Michigan’s largest book festival with used and rare dealers, bookmakers, and publishers from all over the USA, Canada, and other countries. Jean Alicia Elster is a professional writer of fiction for children and young adults. She is the granddaughter of Douglas and Maber (May) Jackson Ford, whose family story is the basis of The Colored Car. Her other books include Who’s Jim Hines? (Wayne State University Press, 2008), which was selected as a Michigan Notable Book and a ForeWord Book of the Year finalist, I’ll Do the Right Thing, I’ll Fly My Own Plane, I Have a Dream, Too!, and Just Call Me Joe Joe, and How It Happens.

Ophira and Tali Edut (The AstroTwins) are bestselling authors, speakers, and identical twins. They are the cofounders of the global brand Astrostyle, which reaches millions of loyal readers around the world. They have been flagship ELLE columnists since 2009. The twins have appeared in major media including The New York Times, Good Morning America, and the Today show. Ophira and Tali have done workshops, talks, and trainings for Nike, Conde Nast, The Wing, SHEMedia, Michael Kors, and at universities nationwide. They have taught thousands of people their methods through their online platform and at their signature retreats in Tulum, Mexico. Graduates of The University of Michigan, Ophira and Tali grew up in Detroit and currently live in New York and Seattle.
