Burroughs and Brion Gysin, saddle stitched, Vg+ fine copy with some tanning to a couple pages due to the insertion of a Berkeley Barb four page insert (removed but included and safely preserved). This rare piece of ephemera includes \u201cDo Not Disturb the Mongrels\u201d by Burroughs, a two page spread interview by Allen Ginsberg with John Tytell all about Burroughs, and a one page S.Clay Wilson 12 panel comix \u201cThe Boy Inside\u201d inspired by Burroughs&#8217; writing. <\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>The Time issue had its origin after a negative review of <em>Naked Lunch<\/em> appeard in a 1962 issue of Time, Burroughs and Gysin then proceded to cut-up the issue using Gysin&#8217;s cut-up experiments he developed after looking at Surrealist poet Tristan Tzara&#8217;s work esoecially &#8220;How to Write a Dadaist Poem&#8221; (1920). The Gysin-Burroughs cut-up collaborations would be discussed further in their joint book <em>The Third Mind<\/em>.
