Terrazzo magazine, Issue #2, Spring 1989

Terrazzo Magazine was an iconic, large-format publication on architecture and design edited by Barbara Radice and founded by Ettore Sottsass. Terrazzo ran for 13 issues from 1988 to 1996.

The highly collectible second issue features Radice’s sharp and humorous interview with Fran Lebowitz; travel notes by Sottsass entitled “On Light”; Frank Gehry on “Detailing”; photography of glass objects by Robert Mapplethorpe; architecture-inspired drawings by Francesco Clemente; photos and an essay on traditional Vastuvidya principles; and more.

Format: Large softcover with French-style olive and orange paper wraps, featuring double-sided color plates and extensive imagery.
