This scarce 1985 avant-garde multiple pairs the vibrant abstract design of American artist Roger Selden with themes from John Cage’s landmark Freeman Etudes (1977–1990). Celebrated as some of the most complex works ever composed for solo violin, Cage famously derived the etudes using star charts and chance operations from the I Ching. Published in Italy by the renowned Edizioni del Naviglio, this pocket-sized art edition serves as an ephemeral visual dialogue with Cage’s experimental composition methods.
