The Barbershop is located at <span style=\"font-size: 1.4rem;\"><strong>3432 Caniff St<\/strong>. in <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.4rem;\"><strong>Hamtramck<\/strong>, MI, 48212. The talk is free and open to the public.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roger Martin<\/strong> was a student at Wayne State University when he began to document the Cass Corridor neighborhood forty years ago in the 1970s. His work is on display at the Barbershop ever Saturday with the show closing on Saturday July 18.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Dearborn in 1949, Martin began attending photography workshops through the Photo Guild of Detroit in 1963. He has shown his work across metro Detroit, including at the Detroit Artists Market, the Gallery of Photography, the Gabriel Richard Gallery, the Detroit Public Library, and the Scarab Club.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Photography Reading Group<\/h3>\n<p>We are planning to host a reading group open to the photo group and the general public. We will be reading and discussing two books; the photography and art reviews included in: <em>In the Land of the One Eyed Cyclops<\/em> by Karl Knausgaard and <em>The Synthetic Eye<\/em> by Fred Ritchin. The date will be announced in early September.
