Cheryl A. Head<\/a> is the author of the award-winning Charlie Mack Motown mysteries and the 2023 novel Time’s Undoing<\/em><\/a>, which was shortlisted for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, the Strand Critics Award, and The Hurston Wright Legacy Award. Head is an Anthony Award Nominee, a two-time Lambda Literary Award Finalist, and winner of the Independent Publishers Award. Head is the National Board Chair of Bouchercon, the world’s largest mystery fiction convention, and a former broadcast executive at Detroit Public Television. She is a graduate of Wayne State University and Ohio University. Cheryl now lives and writes in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n

Stephen Mack Jones<\/a> is a published poet, award-winning author, and playwright, and recipient of the Kresge Arts in Detroit Literary Fellowship. He is best known for his acclaimed August Snow<\/em> crime\/thriller series, which has garnered numerous accolades. August Snow<\/em> won the Nero Award, was shortlisted for the Ian Fleming Steel Dagger Award, and was a finalist for the Shamus Award and the Strand Critics Award. The Library of Michigan recognized August Snow<\/em> as a Michigan Notable Book, a distinction repeated for Dead of Winter<\/em>. In 2018, the International Association of Crime Writers honored Stephen with the prestigious Hammett Prize for literary excellence in crime writing. His latest novel is Deus X<\/em><\/a>.
