He&#8217;s been writing poetry for over fifty years. He will be reading from his new collection <em>The Wicking of the Broken Heart: Selected Poems<\/em>. During that same time, his prose writings have appeared in <em>riverrun magazine, the Fifth Estate, the Daily Barbarian, Subversions (Montreal), Dispatch Detroit, ThreeFold<\/em> and <em>Autonomedia<\/em>. His professional career included hosting WRIF\u2019S \u201cNightcall,\u201d the longest-running talk show in radio history, as well as a DJ on Detroit rock stations, WCSX, WWWW, and WABX. His acclaimed novel Summer on Fire (2020) now in its third printing, is set during the 1967 Detroit Rebellion, and is a &#8220;peoples history&#8221; of Detroit folklore.
