This last work from Will Eisner (dubbed "the father of graphic novels" by the New York Times and the namesake of the Eisner Award, the American comics industry's equivalent of the Oscar), The Plot dramatically uncovers the vicious propaganda of "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion," first seen in 1902. A fabrication of the Russian secret police, it describes a purported Jewish plan to take over the world, and though completely debunked by the Times of London in 1921, "The Protocols" continues to this day to be used as a tool to denounce Jews around the globe. Eisner's expressive ink-and-wash cartoons include such figures as Tsar Nicholas II, Adolf Hitler, Henry Ford, and Eisner himself, tracking down the hoax.
