80 minute DVD of narration, interviews, and clips of Bukowski and friends in action, drinking, talking, smoking, and living... includes a visit to the writers den, lots of booze, converstions w/Hank and Linda. Part one is a Skandanavian TV featurette, the second section is a long, made-for-UK documentary, with interviews that include; Linda and Marina Bukowski, Sean Penn, John Martin his publisher, Hank and his old coworkers.
An excellent high-qaulity document on Buk's world but the "visual quality" varies from very good to tolerable, sound quality is fine, its an obvious weak transfer and part of Kerouac's "Pull My Daisy" comes on after the program! This will please true red-blooded Buk fans and deep collectors who will watch with their moths hanging open... but its not for the timid. Don't be a weenie and complain about sound or picture quality... this is what it is, w/picture wraparound sleeve dvd box as issued. Produced by those loveable pirate freaks at Anonymous Film Archives, scandalous and true-to-life.
