A Celebration of children, teen books and authors for librarians, educators and adults interested in literature for children and teens.
The Michigan Library Association presents a day-long conference with stimulating speakers, storytelling, book discussions and idea sharing. It will be held at the Farmington Community Library, Thursday, Sept. 25th. Keynote speaker Donna Jo Napoli has written books in multiple genres and will share ideas on how we can match books to readers. She covers a wide range of books, including books with disturbing content that she feels are necessary to develop the empathy of the child.
The Book Beat will be supplying books at the event. Schedule details and registration is available at: Michigan Library Association
