BOOK BEAT READING GROUP MEETS Wed., June 27th, 7 PM at GAYLES CHOCOLATES, on Washington street in downtown Royal Oak. We will be reading and discussing the book SPRING TORRENTS, by Ivan Turgenev, a simple love story that that offers some insight into Turgenev's personal life.

The Book Beat reading group has been meeting for the past 12 years. The emphasis is on world literature and fiction classics, although we have read young adult books, graphic novels, art crticism and essays. Our home base has been Gayles Chocolates on Washington in downtown Royal Oak, MI. We meet on the last Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. The group has no fees and is open to the general public.
