It was unanimously considered a masterpiece and classic by one and all. Comments centered around the poetic and universal nature of the book, and its concern with life’s most vital and important issues. It was also a moving evocative portrait of small town Hungarian life at the turn of the century. I was very pleased with it, and was one of our best discussions.

well that’s all fine and dandy for the kids who NEED it. And yes sure continuously learning is great. But what about the kids who do well in reading and just want a break? …when kids are in the “summer” mode they just don’t want to do it.

I think that Stephanie Meyer has done and excellent job with all the characters in her books. I also love that she has kept the movies close to her in making sure that the movies are kept as close as possible to the book.
