All Access Cafe at Third Man Records June 21


All Access Cafe with ML Liebler presents Anne Finger, Wayne Kramer, Maria Mazziotti Gillan, Nadia Ibrashi, and featured music by Larry Gabrial’s Fou Ya Yeah trio with W. Kim Heron and James Knowl at Third Man Records, Friday June 21st at 7:00 PM. Third Man Records is located at 441 Canfield Street W., Detroit. This event is free and open to the public. Books will be available from Book Beat. 

Anne Finger (Oakland, CA) Fiction writer, Memoirist and Disabilities Rights Activists

Wayne Kramer guitar player for The MC5 & author of the award winning book The Hard Stuff: Dope, Crime, the MC5, and My Life of Impossibilities.

Maria Mazziotti Gillan Award winning poet, Finding Director of The Paterson Poetry Center, Editor of The Paterson Literary Review and Director of Creative Writing at Binghamton University.

Ms. Gillan will offer a Creative Writing Workshop on Thursday eve at 7pm at The Bolls YMCA in Downtown Detroit near the Opera House and broadway stop of The People Mover.

Nadia Ibrashi is a wonderful Metro Detroit poet and medical doctor from Cairo, Egypt.

Music will be offered by Gabriel’s Fou Ya Yeah Trio with W. Kim Heron, Larry Gabriel and James Knoll.

The All Access Cafe was developed by M. L. Liebler to host differently abled artists from the US, Detroit and from around the world. The line up is currently being developed and will soon be posted. The first event featured Ishmael Reed & Jillian Weise. The Friday June 21 event will feature Disability Activist and Fiction Writer Anne Finger with Wayne Kramer of the MC5, Maria Mazziotti Gillan, Egyptian American poet Nadia Ibrashi. The event is sponsored by The Detroit Public Library-Main Branch, the Marshall Mathers Foundation, Wayne State University, Poet’s & Writers, Steinberg & Associates Inc.,and Jack White’s Third Man.
