Poem In Your Pocket Day 2018: April 26th!

Oops! We’re late in mentioning Poem In Your Pocket Day! Thursday, April 26th: Create a poem or find a poem… put it on paper… put it in your pocket… take it out to read and share throughout the day. It’s still not too late to think of participating and hopefully you’ll remember to do it for next April’s National Poetry Month celebration. Spread the word!

About Poem In Your Pocket Day:

Poem In Your Pocket Day has been celebrated every year since 2002, as part of National Poetry Month. The idea is simple: select a poem, carry it with you, and share it with others at schools, bookstores, libraries, parks, workplaces, street corners, and on social media using the hashtag #pocketpoem.

Find out more here, where you can even download poems by poets like Marie Howe, Naomi Shihab Nye, and Juan Felipe Herrera, to print and carry!
