Sept. 21, Celebrate International Day of Peace!

Thursday, September 21st is International Day of Peace. For more information, please check out the International Day of Peace website or the Pinwheels for Peace website.
If you are with a school or organization that has a peace pole outside your building, we hope you are celebrating this world day. If you are with a school and are working toward a “bully free” school or class, this can be a day to celebrate and begin your “bully free” year. It can be as simple as recognizing the day and explaining what it is at an assembly or on the intercom when you read the daily announcements.

We hope you will consider recognizing and celebrating International Day of Peace and will make a peace day program! Visit Book Beat in person for more Peace Day reading suggestions. Some are posted HERE
