Author Sarah Shoemaker on Monday, May 15th at Berkley Library

Author and Michigan native Sarah Shoemaker will be appearing at the Berkley Public Library (3155 Coolidge Hwy, Berkley, MI 48072) on Monday, May 15th from 6:30-8:00pm to discuss and have a Q&A session for her new book, Mr. Rochester. This event is free and open to the public and co-sponsored by Book Beat. Amy Haimerl at the Redford Township Library on Friday, May 19th

Journalist and Author Amy Haimerl will be at the Redford Township District Library on Friday, May 19th as part of the Books & Bytes Benefit from 6:45 to 7:30 PM. David Maraniss at Everyone’s Reading Mon., May 22nd & Tues., May 23rd

Award-winning author David Maraniss will be in the area for Everyone’s Reading with his book, Once in a Great City: A Detroit Story. He will be at The Community House in Birmingham on Monday, May 22nd at 7 PM. He will be at Congregation Shaarey Zedek on Tuesday, May 23rd at 7 PM. Both events are free, but registration is required. To register, please contact your local participating library. Josh Malerman Book Launch at the Loving Touch, Mon. May 22nd

Award-winning author Josh Malerman will be releasing his new book, Black Mad Wheel, at The Loving Touch (22634 Woodward Ave., Ferndale,  MI 48220) on Monday, May 22nd at 7 PM. Reading Group Selection for May

The Book Beat reading group selection for January is Mysteries by Knut Hamsun.
