Beginning on February 22, Book Beat will be closing at 7pm  Monday through Friday for the rest of the season. Our hours Monday through Friday are now 10am to 7pm. Weekend hours will remain the same.

Beverly Jenkins Returns to Book Beat, Sat. Feb. 13th!

forbiddenRomance superstar and Detroit native Beverly Jenkins will be returning to Book Beat on Saturday, February 13th (Valentine’s Eve!) from 2-4pm to sign copies of her many bestselling books and to promote her latest release, Forbidden. Valentine’s Day Celebrations at Book Beat

Wong Herbert Yee and Kathryn Madeline Allen will be reading from and signing copies of their books. In addition, guest readers will be reading favorite Valentine’s Day tales to help everyone get into the festive spirit. As a special treat, Book Beat will again be making valentines, an activity open to all ages. Join Book Beat for this free event and celebrate the holiday with us. DarkSparkler hc cAcclaimed actress and poet Amber Tamblyn will be making an appearance at Book Beat (26010 Greenfield Rd., Oak Park, MI) on Sunday, February 14th from 3:00-4:30pm to promote the release of her latest book of poetry, Dark Sparkler. Amber is in the midst of a cross-country tour with her husband, comedian David Cross, who is performing at the Royal Oak Music Theater on Sunday evening. This event is free and open to the public. February Reading Group Selection
